Conservative Women's Organisation elects Samantha Gethen as West Midlands Area Co-Chair for Birmingham, Heartlands, Solihull & Coventry
The West Midlands Conservative Women’s Organisation has announced the election of its new Area Co-Chair, Solihull Councillor Samantha Gethen.
Cllr Gethen will be responsible for encouraging Women to stand for elected office and to develop policies to support women in the region.
She currently works as the Office Manager for a local MP, and has served on Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council as a representative for the St Alphege ward since her election in 2022.
Cllr Gethen brings a diverse range of experience to the role. After leaving school she trained as a dental nurse at Birmingham Dental Hospital before venturing into finance and accountancy as a self employed professional. With a passion for education reform, she has also been a school Governor for Solihull Academy.
