Malvern Park Play Area

Part 1:

The journey towards meaningful change starts now. In the run-up to the May Election, I consistently voiced my anxieties regarding the safety of the play equipment in Malvern Park. Today, I'm privileged to have the opportunity to discuss these concerns directly with the Council Officers, bringing to the table innovative solutions and visions for the park's future.

Engaging with the community has always been paramount to me. After numerous conversations with local families and personal visits to the park alongside my own children, I've gained a clearer understanding of the desired improvements and the pressing changes that are paramount for the wellbeing and enjoyment of our children. Armed with this feedback, I've curated a list of proposals, which I will be presenting at today's meeting with the Park Services. Our discussion won't just be about the immediate changes; it will encompass the broader scope of how we can collaboratively streamline the process. This includes strategies for securing CIL Funds for the region and ensuring a transparent tendering process for companies interested in undertaking the project.

Taking this initial step reaffirms my commitment to fostering positive transformations within the ward. Serving as a first-time Councillor, this venture truly encapsulates my motivation for seeking this role - to make a tangible, positive impact and enhance the overall experience for both our resident families and the visitors who grace our community.
